Dr. Subha Fernando is an Artificial Intelligence Research Scientist and Senior Lecturer of the University of Moratuwa. She is the coordinator and co-founder of QBITS- Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the University of Moratuwa. Dr. Subha Fernando earned a Doctor of Engineering from Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan. She is the former Head of the Department of Computational Mathematics, the former Director of the Information Technology Research Unit of the University of Moratuwa, and a Past President of the Sri Lankan Association for Artificial Intelligence. She has been a resource person for many research workshops conducted by research bodies, including academia and industry. Her research interests include deep learning, machine learning, multi-agent systems, and data mining technologies.
