Founded in 2015 as part of the University’s expansion, the Faculty of Engineering combines modern facilities with experienced faculty to deliver programs in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Engineering. Emphasizing hands-on training, innovation, and research, it prepares students to tackle global challenges.

Cultural Richness of Jaffna

Jaffna’s vibrant culture is celebrated through annual festivals, traditional music, and culinary delights. Visitors in August can witness the Nallur Kandaswamy Temple Festival—an elaborate ten-day chariot procession honoring Lord Murugan. Experience colorful decorations, rhythmic drumming, and community feasts.

Just a short journey away, the world-renowned Kandy Esala Perahera takes place in July–August. This grand parade features torchlit dancers, richly adorned elephants, and majestic pageantry in the hill capital. Together, these festivals offer an unforgettable immersion into Sri Lanka’s living traditions.
